Philips XGS103
Acquired March 2015
This is my first street light lantern and first LPS lamp. I obtained this off eBay. I know that it was installed in Essex but have no idea where about. This is not a common light in this area but there a few example in the Furness area and round Ulverston, I'll document them at some point, they need closer examination as they could be MI26s not XGS103s.
When the lantern arrived it was fitted with a Philips lamp and a Zodion SS6 70lux cell.

This is the lantern as recieved
The lantern all dismantled ready to be cleaned up. The item going left to right from the top down are gear tray, gear tray supports and screws, nema socket and sensor, canopy, bowl clip, canopy rear section, gasket for nema socket, lamp, earthing bit and wire, bowl, terminal block, electronic ballast, lamp support, lamp holder and screwdriver.
The canopy was given a good scrub then a quick spray over with white paint.
All reassembled. I left the nema socket disconnected to allow for manual operation. The Philips SOX-E lamp was reinstalled.
